End of Life phpbb Software

As Jim is having to update the BXC Forum due to security concerns, is this something to happen to this forum too?

Guess that's an enthusiasm ebb in part due to the reducing post activity on here these days? :-(

Not so much.

*The latest version of PHPBB is out (3.1) but radically different from all previous versions so its unlikely this board will move to the new software any time soon.

*The 'Security Changes' that have been made on BXClub are quite minor but have already been resolved on BXP in previous updates.

*Minor updates such as this I usually do as and when, normally along with other updates for add on modules, and I'l notify users as usual.

While its nice to see updates being advertised and carried out on BXC, there schedules and BXP schedules are not the same. More over the demand on BXP is so minor that I usually do live updates and don't take the site down to do them, which is not possible on BXC.
