Easter Sunday report.

Post by tomsheppard » 12 Apr 2009

Absolutely nothing to do with BXs, either. I'm at home in France, logged onto the wireless network here having a few quiet days checking out the newly rehung roof which is just fine. I've spent the day insulating the roof of the den upstairs and bloody hard graft it was, too. My reward is that I can now get the back bedroom warm at last. David, my house sitter is knocking up a venison stew and I've scored a bottle of the '05 Camplong Corbieres to wash it down with. Happy Easter everybody. Expect no sense for some time...

It's only today that you insulated the roof? No doubt there were other little things done before that.....

Have a glass or two of the Camplong for me, Tom. It makes perfect sense....

Charlie - your friends may end up in a stew if they're not careful.

 OO I'm not so sure. Those rabbits look far from benign to me.

In fact looking at their faces again, err faintly sinister

Hows the weather though?
It started off lovely here, but it's looking rather sinister now, which is not what the lovely Laura Tobin promised... bad bad girl.
I'll have to put her across my knee and spank her..

Then the brakes failed on the Ka (13 months old.) Ford don't want to know because I haven't had it serviced yet but the flexible has chafed away against the driveshaft, having never been fitted into its retaining clip.
Hendy's service man said they'd have picked it up at the service but they didn't pick it up on the PDI. I cannot be bothered to argue with them so I'll park across their service forecourt entrance while I do the repair. Very, very carefully.*
It was an interesting journey through Suisse Normande last night with only token rear braking available!
*Ka now fixed. Thanks to DLM for help with the bleeding.

:x Fraud never were consumer friendly. The only good thing I can say about them is, at least they now fit decent diesel engines 8)

As I mentiond in the other thread, only on bookfart to share piccys & vids with other friends, people like Kay, Sarah and Angie who I lived with for a few years and who now are too far flung in the world, lesbian*, or trendy to bother with mere emails - in fact Kay lives on facebook, its a wonder she actually gets any work done.
Anyway - this video linky should work....

* its worrying to think that at the last count 4 women I have shared accomodation with and have seen me in varying states of undress, and who were straight are now lesbians....
