It's like riding on a roller coaster up here. Most of the snow has gone, we were supposed to get some more yesterday but it didn't arrive.
The roads are a right mess, big lines of ice about 3" high then big excavations about 3" deep where the ice has gone and taken the road surface with it!!!
To make matters worse, the tank lift pump has failed on the Picasso. Fortunately it was right outside the Daughters house so I got a lift home.
We did Derek's last summer and a right pig of a job it was too. Like him I have over 3/4 of a tank
of diesel in there. We had to syphon most of it off into plastic boxes before we could do it coz you have to tip the tank forward to remove and replace the pump.
Citroen supposedly modified these in 2003 but I don't know what they did, so it's going to Rigbye's later, via the RAC. They have one in (they always have) and will do the job straight away. OK so it will cost me £200 instead of £100, but experience tells me it's worth it....just.
The pump that's in was fitted at 31,000 miles, it's now done 54,000. I don't think 3 £100 pumps in 50,000 miles is very good really, so Citroen UK will be getting my views shortly!!!
