The Wigan beer company started life in 1975, as a micro brewery producing 3 brews. They won all sorts of awards, both here and in Europe and have now achieved full brewery status. They now produce 7 different beers with about 4 seasonal types and they're available in most of the local pubs as a guest beers.
£2 to £2-50 is the norm round here. You would get a pot round yer ed if you asked for £3-50
Holts pubs, locally, have regular price offers on of £1-95 a pint.
We host a beer festival once a year with beers from all over Europe attending, all at reduced prices.
One prizewinner this year was "Glob" from Slovenia, however I think they may change the name for international sales
Apparently they have similar purity laws as Germany
