Don't take it to heart, I was down in Brist hole last Friday and he was too busy driving a bus to come out on the lash...

Cool bus though!

Do you reckon there's any truth in the rumour that your eyesight starts to fail as you get older?

:P Not really your eyesight can't keep up with editors 8)

Though TBH mine has deteriorated something shocking this last 12 months

Distance is fine but close to I can't see fuck all without 3 dioptrode glasses

What's got worse is a bit further away. My computer screen is about a meter away, it's blurred now, either that or the writings getting smaller :P.I found a pair of 1.5 s and suddenly the screen is clear

No editing Phil it was there (and kind of obvious) from the start.

1.5s seems a rather high loss for one year!

Interestingly and somewhat off topic - the two adverts for Queens Mill and Hi Way show an interesting trend in prices.
A Hi Fi (or Radiogram) in 1974 was the equivelent of nearly £600 - today a similar hi-fi in terms of output power and components would cost roundabout £100, possibly less if you bought an Amstrad.

Shock absorbers though equate to £45 each, batteries £54 and exhausts £34 (probably the back box for a mini)
So whilst some things ave not really changed a great deal in 40 years, other items clearly have come down a lot in price.

Yeah but how many good sound systems do you buy against the more mundane stuff you buy everyday like food and energy that has rocketed.

I had two something or other macular events this year. It's where you get flashes of light peripherally, noticeable when it's dark.
This is followed a day later with lots of black spots and spiderswebby things floating about in your vision.
Over about 6 weeks they all vanish except for the spidery thingswhich remain only fainter.
Had it all checked out and told nothing to worry about. It's just an age thing [chin] [chin]

yes, thank you Vanny. I trust your gift thing arrived though?
Your wedding day turned to hell. First time in all the years I've had it that old red car failed. Although it's failed several times since. After some very lovely people came to rescue me I finnaly got to bed at 0500 on Sunday morning. 23 hours after the day started.
As for the rest of it. Yeah, it's all been shit!
Sorry I missed your day mate, i really am. I tried, I failed. Something I seem to be great at lately.
Interweb time has been limited, sleep has been limited, having a life has been non existent. I may aswell live at work, alhtough the cockhead has pretty much destroyed work aswell now. ho hum.

Your short distance vision gets worse as you get older but your long distance vision gets better. At the same time you are more liable to get cataracts which is like looking through glasses that need cleaning. The operation is very common - and costs nothing!!!
