Wibbly exterior trim

Just thought I'd cross-post this from club-xm, to give you all a laugh!
I wrote: Heading along the A27 today and the moment I hit cruising speed there was a ptoing and suddenly the car seemed to have grown a wing aerial in my peripheral vision.

In fact the rubber trim that protects the A-pillar had come away at the top. When I pulled in at the next parking bay, it looked like this (sorry for crappy phone pic):

Image

I pressed it firmly back into place and did the rest of the day's driving. When I got home it was still in place, but loose. Is the trim meant to be glued down? It seems damn flimsy when just clipped into place - there's only a clip at the top.

Has this happened to anyone else?

XM's are dirty and horrible and look like pieces of cheese, even laura doesn't like them! She also call's DS's dragons so we might not use that as a bench mark!

hehe, one of my Australian friends (who is a confirmed citro-nutter) his wife calls the DS a cockroach, what a Phillestine!
As a family, they have 3 BX's, a Xantia, and a C5 wagon....and no, they don't contribute to any english forums.

I don't think any Citroen can be accused of having good build quality...

it's only got 7 wires in total, and three of them are linked to the earth!

Fair dos, actually. My mum's got a Pug 106, which is not far removed from an AX, and the wiring on that is simple enough even for me to understand.

The alarm has given up the ghost though...

Seriously ........I reversed my TZD into the garage a few weeks ago and hit the wheels of my 'bike trailer which was propped up against the wall .............it knocked the spoiler off [its only held on with four self tapping screws anyway]
Honest,I stuck the bsatrad back on with "No Nails" .......its held so far

I've never had any probs with the wiring on my '88 2CV in the 20 years I've owned it.
Which is bl**dy fortunate for me ..............as virtually all the wires are one colour ...... .........green.

Just like Gs!! Electrical faults are impossible to trace on those.

XM's are great cars, and Laura needs educating.

Never had that happen to me, although having a D12 detonate itself in the middle of Gloucestor in rush hour was more, er, "entertaining"....
