Already do that most of the time mate!
I guess it's "the grass is always greener" syndrome or something?

I like the idea of having a house that floats, especially if the doomsayers are right, which I mean, ok, they're not, but ya know, if they were and all..

It would only be a temporary reprieve though, if the doomsayers were right, wouldn't it? :? I mean if both the polar caps melted and there was this great flood, where would you get your food & water? A still for water needs fuel and as for food, well, can a man live by fish alone?

I have a house on a hill. 401 feet above sea level. Icebergs do your worst.

Erm, see, I'd sail the house to Rita's greasy spoon takeaway, and buy my dinner form there, much the same as I do now, except at the moment I park out front in a bus!

Rarely drink water on it's own anyway, so I'd just continue getting diet coke and beer, a little bit od percipitation wont stop Tesco's ya know..

Yes, But im not expecting a fugging great iceberg to come marching down Leyland Rd and make a left at the lights - Im thinking more if the water table rises by a few feet Im going to be high and dry!

Iceburgs hate turning left, I reckon it's more likely it'd come up Leyland Rd and turn right, thereby catching you by surprise, and befoire you'd have time to shout "hardaport" it would have ripped through the porch and you'd be doomed!
