To my place, where we shall have light refreshments and afternoon teas. And FIRE.

If not then if Chris brings the bits I could put them with what I've already got earmarked for you Jay.

Looky here.

It's a bit rambling in true BXP style but you should get the gist of it.

With the weather looking a bit gloomy this morning i decided to lock myself in the shed and knock this up:

Not finished yet, still needs fettling and carpeting but the idea is a single plug quick-release sound system for the Valver. Other than the head unit this is all the stereo i'll be having...

You need to bring that up in the Xantia, we need a decent party sound system!

Like it, is it just bass drivers in there or are there some tweeters that I can't see? In the BX I've got speakers in the factory locations and a Pioneer bass tube with a piston like driver, I guess you'll see it at the weekend so you'll know what I mean. Picked it up off eBay where it was advertised as a 'base tube' for the grand sum of £20 as for some reason there were no other bids...
Is it just me or do you think the factory speaker mounts are shite? They seem to be so flexible that all the bass is absorbed by the mountings rather than coming out as sound.
No need to worry Vanny, it's in the van at the moment so we're OK for sound! Bring some choons though.

I'll bring some of my almost unused CD's as the Picasso's player only works occasionally.

It's occasionally not working at the mo. :x

The speakers are Vibe QB69's, they're 2-way with horn loaded tweeters in the middle.

Chained down to 2 ohms they should get the best part of 200w RMS per channel (each pair is one channel).

It's completed by a 1.6 farad Cap.

Still need to do some finishing to the box, put the ports in, carpet it and sort out the cabling & sockets.

One pair of these are what i used to have in the valver and trust me, with 2 pairs there ain't ANY need for subs (although earplugs are mandatory)

The breather itself, and assosiated pipework is the same regardless of the extra tank or not bar one extra bit from the breather to a T shape vent strapped under the filler pipe.
All of which will be on the estate if you want it, including the actual plastic filler pipe that replaces the extra tank like..
Chris, you still got this filler etc? Got to take a trip to Swindon in the next week or two so gonna extend it down your way and on to Bandits if you're about...

I'm about weekends, although not this Sunday as it's the harbourside event thing so I'll be at that fixing broken buses..
Weekdays are a bit difficult at the mo..
