erm, 9009's gearbox failed on Thursday. It was due to go to the Harbouside event tomorrow, so I set about making it work.
Which I have. Quite sweetly actually.
Anyhow, I was putting the old girl back in the shed and clipped a subframe I'd left laying around for ages... Blew the rear O/S outer tyre out..
And bus tyres tend to be not cheap! Since I wrecked it I'll replace it, but it means the bus aint going tomorrow, and I feel a tad bad about it, although it's owner was quite alright about it, but either way, I was slightly annoyed with myself having fixed the box to end it's day out by trashing the tyre...

I'm sure we can find a useable 11R22.5 tyre somewhere!

I have. Not brand new, but not old, and with more tread than the current flat tyre has, so it's not all bad, although it aint that cheap either, but convenient..

How much you paying for that? I can most likely find a 2nd hand one cheap, still got plenty of contacts from the worshop days...

Final price depends on amount of tread, could be £100 - £200..
Not too fussed really, and it's a done deal, so something to do next saturday before breaking 2 BX's and a 205..

That said... Any idea where I could lay my hands on 6 Michelin X 275/70 22.5 tyres for not too much??

Thats the ones mate.
The front ones I am tempted to brand new on, I've had a blow out on a Lance before, it was less fun than being arse raped and fingered by an elephant..

And JD, ideally I'd like Michelins yes, for reasons I've mentioned about 50 million times..

What's up with the 205 Doc? Is it repairable? I'm looking for a small engined petrol one for Gregzee, for not much money. :)

It's just that I've found 6 brand new tyres in that size, including delivery for £1000

Chinese tyres though...

Erm, not the XS Phil, that's Kates, and it might even go back to her one day..
I refer to the CJ... There was very little wrong with it, before I raped it for bits and drove the forklift into it...
Now it's a "suit enthusiast" car... Gratis if you want it though!
