:) If it does fit, buy it. A much superior instrument, that once set up, is trouble free for ages.
Hopefully it's a twin venturi job which will give you more horses and use less fuel
(yes even the autochoke models).

I worked on several types of Weber in the 70's. The other good thing about them was that the instructions for fitting and setting up were deadly accurate :)
They were all over £100 even then.

Yeah, that'll fit, and is way way way superior to the Solex.

see, ner ner nah ner ner! Meddling twat my arse. Anyway, it's pointless buying it if you're getting a DS       (just to fuck your shit up like! )

I'd stick the carb on the BX and not get a DS myself..
Or, get a BX that doesn't have a carb..

/\ but it needs to be a cream machine! On that interesting opinion, Charlie was on about chucking in a GTi engine, which physically would be a doddle, but I assume electrically would be a bit of a shitter unless you can get the complete set-up from a donor. How would it work loom wise, as in, presumambly plug and play, but it'd mean running ecu and sensor looms all over the place

Actually quite easy, it is all plug in, and it's a fairly straightforward fitting up job..

 Just to prove how right he is, I did one meself, everything coded and will only go in the position it's at, with the right clips and that. If you know what I mean 8)

hmmm ta lads

and since i havent got a gti engine

or a ds yet (and when i do get one i'll park it outside bandits every night)

i might just have a go at with the weber

does it matter if its not an autochoke carb

will ask the seller if it has or not

Re: weber

If it's not an autochoke, you only need to run a cable to a suitable spot.

Very true, so he did  . You see, he knows, he just knows, the damned ginger turd. But us lesser mortals have to have the curiosity shagged out of us first!
