oooooooooooooooohh by fack
see mr bandit has got a head start on me
biggest mot fail on the cream machine ever since ive had it
ball joint, which ive done today
some fackin weldin by the rear off side subframe just next to the petrol tank
all brake and suspension pipes by the rear subframe fucked with the one thats the feed to the brakes bursting during the mot.....
plan for now is....
to replace burst pipe, as the stubble bubble that the ever swelling bandit is has said,
then cause i aint got the time now to replace all the fackin rest, just gunge over the corrosion till the summer, then to replace
and hope that the others dont burst in the meantime
really really not ideal but got a lot of shit to deal with at the moment
soooooooooo planning on a hot lazy summer where i can lay some more love on me bx

I got me grinder out yesterday...........the cream machine is disintegrating
It's repairable yes, but as Charlie ain't too sure how long he's gonna keep the car and that there is gonna be similar rust in other areas I'm scratching be head a bit and wondering what to do.
It's unlikely to meet the re-pass date for the MOT as Charlie has much going on in Derby and I haven't the time to do it all.
I am wondering if he'll be better of sorning it for now and buying a cheapo BX to keep him going. There's a 1.9 n/a Auto (everything Charlie DOESN'T want) on fleabay but that's got it's own issues.
Basically, I think the cream machine has got to the point where he either get's rid, scraps, or bite's the bullit and does a major resto, otherwise Mr Welder is gonna be needed year after year for the MOT - and it's bloody cold yesterday and today..........

Or if it's still taxed chance it without an MOT till the weather warms up?
That way the yearly welding will be done in the summer...

I know, I think I'll give Charlie the heads up, but being honest, cars ain't the 1st thing on his mind right now, plus he wants a manual

I prefer auto's on the whole.
I reached a similar point with Smiffy's last BX. Ok, I *could* have welded it up, but the amount of strip down required, and the amount of work I'd have had to put in would have been horrific. So we binned it.
Ok, if it was Dad's car i'd do it anyway, because he loves the car and all, but unless it's got mahoosive sentimental value, it may be time to call it a day?

Spoke to him today, he's going to get it through MOT and sell it on.
He has a new motor already:
In faded red - i.e. pink.

no no no mates, no bx ven red/pink pun intended. He has THE ACTUAL CAR IN THE PICCY - well, not THE actual car,but a pink version of (the squarey boxy Fiat Cinquecento!)
Deadly serious. It's a long story and not mine to impart. Tinged with some sadness I'll add, Charlie has had a rough time of it, really rough actually, but he's enjoying the Fiat 500 cos it's basic and fun!
