A little late to the party, but with plenty of time for next year, i've bagged myself a winch motor. The plan is to setup a moving display for the NEC next year, consisting of a hydraulic suspension ram going up and down, actuated from a height corrector (either mechanical or electronic if i can find one).
This be the motor.
Do you all think it will be man enough? Geared down to 8rpm it might be a little slow, but i'm sure i can sort something with the pulleys, and it will have plenty of torque to turn the pump i blagged off Jay for not a lot.

Re: Driving a hydraulic pump
dunno if its off a wagon, but its plated as 24v. It runs off 12v fine (with, i assume, the obvious reduction in torque). Should be more than plenty to turn the pulley with that sort of torque/ ratio.

Re: Driving a hydraulic pump
Should be ample, given that a wiper motor from a bus will pull an AX up on to the concrete at the farm!

Yep All lekie motors produce max torque at 1 rev.
