Tools - Suspension Clip

Post by Vanny » 18 Jun 2014

So a recent thread over on BXClub reminded me to share this picture with the community, it doesn't seem to exist on the internet anymore.

The picture is originally taken from the workshop manuals and shows how to modify a set of plumbers grips for removing the band strap on the front BX suspension leg that holds the leak back harness in place.

Personally i've never found the need for them, and simply use a set of side cutters to open the clip and mole grips to close it back up again.

I've always used old fashioned joiners pincers for those clips works a treat
We discussed this on a thread ages back when somebody was having trouble with the ones on the front suspension legs
