Actually, floppy-end rat-shit spanners do indeed make this job a fair bit easier. Still a pig, but not the sort of job that makes you look at a gallon of petrol and a lighter and think "yep. Fukkit."
... all landings are in fact controlled crashes, and any crash you can walk away from is a good landing. The definition of a good pilot is a man with the same number of landings as take-offs.

I saw somewhere you said that the rack job was such a bugger it almost made you want a Xantia...
Don't! A Xanita is likely to need a new heater matrix and to replace one makes a BX rack job seem like a sunday afternoon stroll in the park

Lots of Citroens beginning with the letter X but not including the letter M
One has a letter V and a figure 6

I duno mate, I've done a few xanty heater matrix's now, they aint too bad.
Better than being buried under a shitty old french pile of crap all day with green blood pissing into your eyes, down your sleeves, up your nose and everywhere else!
Still, tis done now, bar a bit of fiddling with the tracking, and it no longer knocks like a 79year old hooker, so all is well.
Christ does it ever feel slow compared to the valver though!

....There he goes, one of God's own prototypes, a high powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production......too weird too live.....and too rare to die

Amen to that!
If I have to do another one, I'll just drop the subframe down a tad, that makes life much easier, or yeah, take the engine out!
