I had a pair of mountain shrimp and were really cool. I think they shed their skin as at one point

Bandit, them crustaceans have to shed their shells to grow - you should see the big 'orrible spider crabs in the Solent when they all peel inshore come June/July.

Imagine something with a body the size of a hedgehog, and long legs/claws the size of BX droplinks that's only just a little harder to the touch than jelly....
