Um... pics??!?
Mark.
Alas, my current phone being one of
these, I am not currently well placed for taking random snapshots. It is so far the only phone I have managed not to kill, having survived being placed on the car roof then slipping off at speed onto the road when I drove off having forgotten to retrieve it, and having had a GSA bonnet slammed repeatedly on it when I left it in the gutter on top of the wing. Occasionally someone takes pity on me and gives me their handmedown, but invariably it dies before long and out comes the Nokia again...
You what? A phone is a phone as far as I'm concerned. Mine is a Nokia 3410
Rhetorical question: Does no-one use actual cameras anymore?

Actually, I do, one of
these being the device I currently favour. I don't carry it round with me all the time however, and the nice thing about cameras on phones is having a camera for snapshots of interesting things on your person at all times...

I do have a camera, 5mp, fits in the pocket, Minolta jobbie digital, have started to use it again, but only cos its better in the dark or for motion pics than my phone. For still pictures however the CarlZeis 5mp camera in the phone wins hands down (the phone also has better memory and lasts longer on the battery).
I also have an Olympus OM2 semiSLR, takes film, awesome bit of kit, but i like my pictures NOW!

True, and actually I would consider getting a camera phone... for the sole purpose of taking discrete snaps of crusty old autoshite on the street

Olympus OM10 with 35 - 110 lense and manual over ride - lovely, but time consuming.
Fuji S5500 with 50 - 200 lenses and filters and a couple of 2 gig cards - FTW - lovely photos, decent battery life.

I have an elderly Pentax MV1, which I rarely use any more...taken over by the convenience of a phone with camera.

I still use a 35mm Praktica MT5B, but I take most snaps with the ratehr shite camera on the phone these days, as said above, the like the immediacy of the phone, and it's always with me.

Just dusted off my old Pentax K1000 and Olympus Trip 35. Found I still had an Olympus XA2 too. Bought some film - and off we go. Retro stylee.
