Fuck! It's meant to be!
WE really should do this shit, we could be millionaires!

As an aside another band name I fucking love was "Vatican Commando's" which featured a young Richard Hall, now known as Moby, uber political punk rock, they was great so they was!

Oh by the way Mr Fish botherer was correct, it was the Halliard assembly and the Norwegian guy on Sax. That was reel cool music.

Mickey didn't we discuss blues some time back I like the old basic stuff but I like some new as well. I think I quoted edge of darkness by Clapton and you managed to bring it on here from somewhere. I'ts king Eric for me!

Apart from bedroom bands and playing the odd private gig at party, the band I played sax for in public had a very unimaginative name - "The Rhythm Method" (so unimaginative several other bands also used the same name). We played..erm..all of about four gigs in Cardiff about 25 years ago when I lived there for 18 months.

I still remember somebody jumping up and down on a table at the back of the first gig we played, shouting "You're shit! You're shit!" over and over. I was inclined to agree, but it was fun for a while.

I used to love it when people hurled abuse at us, it felt good.
Didn't care whether people loved us or hated us, as long as we made an impression, it was all good!

So long as they're not throwing something solid at you that leaves an impression I think you're right..

PM me if you're around at the farm this w/e and are interruptable - I may be visiting my brother. I've now got 15 Speedline bolts in one box, and they should ideally be reunited with the wheels they came from.

Ta muchly doc - though my plans are similarly "fluid". if I do get as far as my brother's place but not much further, could possibly leave them with Ed4ferrets, though he's been somewhat off the radar of late. I hope he and his family are well, and that the absence doesn't have anything to do with spending too much time with his head under the bonnet of a small Fiat...

On a completely different note (this is bxproject after all), would 2CV Bristol do a Pug 105 diesel cambelt change? My brother works in Bristol a couple of days a week now.

Right, I shall be up the farm tomorrow after all, I'll ring you to confirm anyway, since you not be on the net at the mo?
Ed's ok, he does hibernate from the internet quite often.
Speaking of which, I really should go and do his fuckng head on his Xantia that I removed about 400 ears ago.....

Yeah, 2CV's will do a belt no problem, 0117 9743947, ask for Mannie, tell him Chris the BX dude sent you, he'll see ya alright.

I do be on the net now through one of them mobile broadband dongley things, but doubt I'll be over your way or Ed's today as I'm still in Hampshire... When or if you're down Ed's way on a headless Xantia mission, please send him my regards.

Will pass the 2CV details to my 'bro, though I don't know if he takes the pug down to Brizzle normally. 12 or 13 years on the same cambelt, though on a low-mileage same-family car, is certainly something that needs to be remedied...

It is indeed. It's all about logistics and other things a bit too involved to go into here, but suffice to say he's a very busy person with work and family commitments nearly all the time, and I don't get down his way that often.

Then you mentioned AX 1.5Ds elsewhere, I thought of where my brother works a couple of days a week and an idea formed in my head.... could be a bit simpler all round?
