funny as feck but not a joke
A Well-Planned Retirement A perfect example of government mismanagement
Outside England 's Bristol Zoo there is a parking lot with enough space for 150 cars and 8 buses. For 25 years,it's parking fees were managed by a very pleasant attendant. who walked into the wooden hut on the lot, daily since the day it was delivered with all it's signs.
The fees were for motorcycles 40p average cars £1.50 average, for buses about £7 average. The car park was very, very busy 7 days a week, in fact every day the zoo was open.
Then, one day, after 25 solid years of never missing a day of work, he just didn't show up; so the Zoo Management called the City Council and asked it to send them another parking attendant.
>
> The Council did some research and finally replied that the parking lot was the Zoo's own responsibility.
>
> The Zoo advised the Council that as far as they knew, the attendant was a City employee and nothing to do with them.
>
> The City Council responded that the lot attendant had never been on the City payroll.
>
> Meanwhile, sitting in his villa somewhere on the coast of Spain or France or Italy, perhaps Florida ... is a very clever, happy man who'd apparently had a tiny hut and ticket machine installed completely on his own and then had simply begun to show up every day, commencing to collect and keep the parking fees, estimated at about £560 per day -- for 25 years.

> Assuming 7 days a week, this amounts to just over 7 million pounds ... and no one even knows his name.
I for one am very happy to have contributed to this genius's retirement

It was, and not a bad idea. Often the best ideas are simple, and that one is simple enough to work I reckon!
