They are not likely to do away with RFL are they?, too much of a robbery item that they can keep raising. Or any other tax come to that.
In other countries where RFL is paid, laws are in place to stop the cash being used for owt else. (nippon and USA) Also, the only 2 countries in Europe that charge extra VAT on top of fuel tax are Here and Norway, now isn't that strange. It's actually illegal to charge tax on a tax in other states.


OK, perhaps it doesn't turn like a Lotus 7 Vanny, but everything is more than adequate for the day to day traffic in this country.
Most of those with performance cars can only use all that power they are being taxed on, on a track day.
It would be cheaper to use something cheap and cheerful daily and hire a track prepared car on the once or twice a year you did it.

£1.47.9 PL for the valver. V-power stuff, and thats from the Shell by the motorway that is about as cheap as anywhere in Brizzle

Sadly, you're right Phil, they won't do away with RFL, and I agree that the fairest system is for the tax to go on fuel. They'll have to eek out the RFL over the average milage.

Fuel warning appeared this morning so I had to fill up....fucking frightening!!!
It took over 55 liters and cost well over £70 for fucks sake!!!!!!!!!!
And, that was at Tesco's and 127.9. Fucking highway robbers. They want blowing up the fucking lot of them. Hopefully todays bye election results will give them a scare.....Not really Clegg is heralding the loss as a great victory. I suppose you can't argue with the blind and the deaf.
