Haven't seen either a plough or a gritter here all day in L8, where the roads and pavements are but ice (after nearly falling on my arse on Upper Duke street, I exchanged words with a bus driver who's decker was stuck on the hill who was contemplating his next move...)

SO seemingly the only person in the country with a Plough hasn't the nouse to go over to sweeden and learn how to use it. £50 says he was trying to clear the whole lot in one go without enough angle. Tit.

If its in Durham, you could get Loonsey to take it to Liverpool, drop it with Dom at Awesome who could take it home to Laura who could bring it down here so Doc can collect it with his computer. Oh actually maybe not, Old Mad Hod wont like that idea one bit!

I'm just gonna make me some ice boots if it comes down to it. I have a knackered pair of boots which i'll put some screws through, job done!

  You weren't far wrong Doc.
I got a regional train from Kalmar to Alvesta. on time.
The X2000 (posh train) from Stockholm was 14 mins late, which meant we were stood on an open station for 28 minutes at - 13!!!. A lot of walking round ion circles and stamping of feet ensued!
Anyway it had made up most of the time by the time we arrived in Copenhagen. Not bad after 350 miles.
The plane developed a faulty switch, which had to be replaced and lost our place in the queue.
We had to wait 3/4 of an hour to go and queue for de icing before we took off.
Flight was fine but we had to queue again to get down at Manchester as there was only one runway open.
We were an hour and a 1/2 late overall, which wasn't so bad considering.
Left Kalmar at 11-30 am arrived home at 9-0 pm. That includes a near 2 hour wait at Copenhagen. 8) 8)

I bought some elasticated things you stretch over your boots. They have spikes underneath and are magic for walking on ice, the missis has just gone to work with them on.
They cost £8 and the bloke said they should sell them over here at outdoor equipment establishments. I'll bet they are more than £8 though!!!

Glad your back safe!

Nice to see you got your priorities right mate.
Come back from holiday, give the missus a present that ensures she can bugger off to work, even in the ice!
Proper bloke!

I explained that I produce washing, but that I would take over the washing up.

Then went out and bought a machine
