Listen sonny. I can put two half crowns together and still make 5 bob
Re: Road trip anyone?

erm, i hate to explain basic math to you Phil, but if you add two half crowns, you get one whole crown, even a 6year old knows that
Re: Road trip anyone?

2, 1/2 crowns = 2, 1/2 dollars = 2 and 6, x 2 = 5x 1 bob =5 bob or 60d or 120d/2 or 240f/4
Now that's engineers maths Vanny
Whichever way you do it, it comes down to 5 bob.
They have crowns in Sweden, perhaps you are confused. We aint had crowns in my lifetime

No?
What about
Coronation Crown
Churchill Crown
Charles & Di Crown
Jubilee Crown
All still legal tender if you were silly enough to spend them in the shops at face value

What about[quote
Churchill Crown
Although they have a value of the old crown, numismatically they are apparently described as 5 shilling pieces
