Too many computers, and lets face it, they aint exactley selling like hot cakes are they?
So parts availability will be shite in a few years.

Yes, all american cars are shite, but I like the Riv, always have, always wanted one, and for a car that was made in '71 (it has to be a '71 for me, it really does) you can still get every fuckingthing for it!

Yeah all yanks are shite , but 70's ones were in general......the worst.

I can think of a few that wern't as bad, but it's a small list......................

Barracuda, Corvette (the 1970 model), Z28, Certain Firebird models, Possibly a Mustang, if there are any left, they rusted like buggery.
But the best of this little lot has to be a Charger or Challenger.
Dodge were the only marque that were anything like screwed together, in that decade.
All these are actually 68-71 period.

The rest were....well....screwed :P

Amen bro!

I agree completly Phil, I know they are a truely awful rot prone nasty shit dangerous car.
But I fucking love the things, and I really want one!
I actually dont care that you have to apply in writing to the local council to go round a corner, I care even less that the brakes only work on the first application of the day, and for the rest of the day the brake pedal is nothing other than somewhere to rest your foot.
There's something about those things that make me nurse a full on robot chubby.
Most important for me is that it's one of the very few cars I've driven that I'm comfortable in.
Much like the BX, which is why I struggle like fuck to find anythign to replace the BX with.
I've never driven anything else that is anywhere near as comfortable as a BX.
But unlike the BX, if I want a new glovebox for a car made in 1971 by redneck KKK members, I can!

Know what you mean, I havent gone for the heavy oil yet and after being offered a new 2.3 diesel sierra as a company car years ago which sounded like a bag of spanners bouncing up and down and turned that down, have never considered another one yet. But I suppose "never say never".

Diesel is best utilised in big fuck off commercial engines.
Like, stuff over 7 litres!

Oddly enough I actually considered a Delorean today, I REALLY actually did, even told dad about it!

4TC, nah, even worse parts availability than a bog standard shit BX.

Oh my god!
Is it any coincidence that I see a piccy of a sex machine at the same time as Claire Danes is involved in a sex scene with "jeremy"?
I think not!

No mate, I will have a riv oneday.
I nearly bought one not so long back, infact despite the seller saying it had been deestroyed ina fire, I know for a fact it's still there.
Sat in a field.

They are affordable direct from the states.
And if I get one thats loved in california or the such I shouldn'y have to do too much MiGGing.
