Re: Insurance revisited..

Post by Vanny » 11 Aug 2009

just been playing with the many search nengines, best i came up with was More Than for £290, only significant thing, 6000 miles. Its a bit bloody stupid to be paying that sort of money when i can only drive it for 9 months of the year, and even then i have a second car that munches through miles. Not to mention being a named driver on 2 other policies. Bloody daft really. I guess once i move out of coventry that will help. But as a student, parked on the street, i was only paying £350 as a daily driver!!

It's not gonna help you now Doc, but i've been down on the insurance as a "Assistant Teacher" for the last 7 years, one of the lowest risks along with Doctors.

The insurers don't check when you have an accident, I had a total loss claim 4 years ago and all they ask for is the cars paperwork & your licence. A friend had one a couple of months ago and again no enquiries, it's something they don't care about when it comes to claims.

Definitely worth thinking about if you change insurers!!!

Jay.

Kates one person in a big city mate!

And I'm never at home, or in Bristol all that much, so I doubt you'd be seeing much of me!

Cheers Jay, I'll bear that in mind for next year!
Assistant teacher, I like the sound of that.

Infact, I might try compare the meerkat again, leave everything the same bar the job and see what difference it makes!

I think i'll stick with the Assistant Teacher... "so, whilst your passengers were bleeding to death what were you doing"?

Insured as Teacher = Thinking about long division and planning another Inset Day...
Insured as Doctor or Nurse = Erm...

theres a quick answer to that, drinking. It's one of them excuses guaranteed to get you out of sticky situations as a doctor/nurse. Obviously do the drinking after the 'incident' what ever that might be?
