A Doc Crafted Exhaust

Met up with the legend we call the Doc on Sunday for a bit of welding surgery on the exhaust hanger. He excelled at the task of course, but went further and replaced the exhaust back box too which he crafted out of one from a diesel estate.

It was amazing as not only did the tail pipe need shortening but repositioning by means of an angle grinder and welder too giving a tail pipe perfectly positioned at the bumper aperture.

Will post a photo of said pipe soon.

Many thanks again Doc for that and the other bits.

indeed, I can confirm that W2G isn't just a figment of his own imagination!
Not at all what I expected, but a bloody nice chap non-the-less.
Ta for the beer, which was enjoyed later that evening!

Oh, and dont forget, you have promised to attend a car rally this year, so we all expect to see you at Stratford!

Would be good to put a face to the screen name, I've already built up a mental image of you (which is probably way off the mark).

People are never how you imagine them. I have an image of w2g and I'd love to know how wrong I am!

I met up with Citro Jim this weekend to hand over some Xantia parts and I was soo wrong about how I expected him to look. Really nice bloke though and he sure does go out of his way to help others. Got time for Jim no probs.

So w2g, now you've crawled out the Matrix will you be at a meet? I have an image in my head...................

Those days are behind me, thankfully.. I'm thinking now had I gone to this BBQ I'd most likely have confiscated the Landy keys and things may have been different...

 I'd have confisticated them myself if I had known what they were up to.
We were all eating charred sausages and buns and things and just chatting generally, one minute.....the next we got a phone call...........

did it go along the lines of "Vanny's just rolled the Disco"?
The voicemail I got was along those lines in broken garbled Engrish.
Although given that Mat had just been launched from it I thought he sounded very composed!

The call was rather ambiguous as to driver, main points being rolled and thrown from window, which was certainly enough for Phil and I to unathletically scale the hill to the accident site, leaving the sausages to become yet more charred...

See, I'd have prioritised... If death was going to occur, then you may aswell have enjoyed the sausages, then taken a leisurely stroll along to the scene of carnage to burn the calories off.... I really should have gone..

Knowing our Matts reputation for disastrous sequences of events, surely the sausage should of caught fire, thus setting fire to the surrounding barn/building and as a minimum caused an explosion resulting in a searing hot BX badge brandishing itself on Phil's forehead! It would of provided light to find the scene of the accident too!
