Smiffy, I do believe that Philhod of this parish is looking to pass on his TXD, non turdblower dizzle.
Obvioulsy I would love this car myself as it ticks all the boxes
1) BX
2) RED
3) Diesel
4) N/A Dizzle.
5) Towbar.
6) Cheap.
7) Local - its a local car for local people.
Sadly I am extremely attached to my penis and testicles and feel that turning up home with "another one of those fucking silly spaceships" will lead to rapid loss of all three items.

That's why I don't understand why you lot bother with them.
Occaisional hot wet minge isn't a good enough reason to give up the rest of your life, when you could enjoy a satisfying wank just the way you like it from the one person who understands you best!

errrr.......... :o

I'd be tempted to 'over rule' Doc and say if you must go Xantia then get a 2.1! Or better still an XM!

Another plan is that there is a BX TZD Turbo less than a mile away from me. Think it's off the road but it looked tidy enough. I could go ask if he wants to sell?

The 2.1 engine doesn't really float my boat...head gasket problems, and that fucking awfull place to mount the thermostat.....

Yeah dude, see what the spiel is on the TZD, but it needs to be quick, as I want to be sorted by next weekend at the latest.

For you or I then I'd say yes.
But, given that I've done a clutch in a 2.1, I have no wish to do another, and as we all know, anything more than bulbs on Smiffy's motor's tends to be a job for uncle Chris.
And Uncle Chris is getting old, and I hate Xantia's. A lot.
XM would be a fine idea, but, again, working on them aint as easy as a BX, parts are hard / impossible to get and they are more prone to going wrong than BX's.
Dont know what Smiffy's gewtting at re HG on the 2.1. They aint any more prone to failure than any other XU engine really.

TZD less than a mile from the Bandit. Go forth young stallion, and dont ask, tell the mofo we're coming to take it!

It will be another 3/4 weeks before the TXD is ready John.

Bulbs on the Micra took rather longer than anticipated when the little yellow cover dropped off inside the lamp with a tinkle.
Fifteen minutes dicking about with a tent peg, screwdriver, magnet and piece of flimsy glowstick finally had me pulling the battery off to give me enough room to get a hook inside the opening, hooked the light cover out and watched it fall to the floor with a little tinkle.

Halfords fit bulbs for £3.99, so the Zafira is going there tomorrow.

That's a very good point Doccers, I hated working on the Xantia! I shall be as stallion like as I can and trott along to investigate. I think you'll be lucky timing wise Smiffy as I rekon it's not MOTd! I'll let you know.

W2G, no tit's not Charlies. He has his old faithful Mean Dream Cream Machine.

I shall start work on the XM next week, starting by ordering an Epic seal kit :x It's gonna be fun [no]

EPIC pumps, FTL..
I feel your pain dude.
I have a few XM bits kicking about. Not much, a headlight glass / unit I think, some dash / instrument stuff, a 2.0SEI ECU, a 2.0 inlet manifold, an ABS ECU etc etc.
I neither want or need them, so if you want any / all of it, I'll hook it all out of tip it!

Not Mr Wood starting a new episode of married life, is it? If so, pass on my regards (I don't think I have any up-to-date means of contact at the moment). If not, good luck to whoever it may be.

Smiffy, sorry to hear of the extensive rot in your BX. I'm with the Doc on 1.9 vs 2.1, if only because I've never heard anything good about Epic pumps, assuming that's what went into the 2.1 Xantia.

I believe that's where the commonly used phase amongst the yoof of today, "Epic phail" actually originates from...

Citro Jim rates the Epic, and I have to say I had not one ounce of trouble with mine on the Xantia!
