hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

if u havent noticed but

ive be messing with headlamps

and and and

but but but but

soooooooooooooooooooooo

wot i have noticed is the wear inside the actual main headlamp casing

Image

soooooooo like the fog lamps, the surface seems to corrode and the shiney stuff falls out

i ve open up 4 sets of lights now and they all have gone in these areas

Image

this image is from a wedge section that runs down the side

Image

the whole lamp seems to work as a hall of mirrors that reflect the light so any loss leads to poor visabitity/brightness

but what ive noticed as well

is that some lamps are in better overall condition as well

Imagei

Image

soooooooo i reckon that that well known moan that some people make about bx headlamps being poor

is linked to the state of this (and their own) inner coating

and cause im that sort of guy

i use this

Image

which the xm oaps introduced me to Aluminim Foil Tape Code: N46CF

the big stuff at £5.49

http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=4098

ive used it before to patch up exterior xm trim so it stick like fack

and now felloow travellers

a cure

:) Pretty smart that Charlie. If you clean and treat any rusty bits there is a very convincing chrome spray available now, from Plastikote. Attaches well to plastic too.

Actually I'm not into meat that much. I'm not a veggie but I won't eat anything with bones in it. Apart from fish which I eat all types, whether the bones are still there or not 8)
