This isn't bull shit, so take it seriously...

One of Mrs B's colleagues had a virus on her computer

Not exactly sure how it manifested itself, but she got a call from (allegedly) Microsoft, stating they had her details and virus information and that for £130 they'd remotely sort it out.

She said no and that she'd rather get work to sort it.

She then got another call from (again, allegedly) Microsoft stating that they had been able to isolate the virus and that the cost would now be £40 to 'resolve' the virus.

As far fetched as this sounds, it is a true story (unless Mrs B is being stiched up by her colleague) so please trust me on this one and spread the word.

Bad assed as it is, it's quite clever!

Somebody asks me for money either over the phone or on line, they get politely told to fuck off.
I believe this one was worked in US last year. If you have any doubts about any odd shit, there's a website called scambusters you can visit to check things out.

definitley real, a couple of guys have told me this now.
But as Phil said, anyone rings up and asks for money, I tell them to go forth and fuck temselves!

Well, this is part of the scam me thinks.

As in, if someone rings you up knowing you have a virus (and clearly, your fucking phone number) then you kinda get cajouled into thinking it's for real fo shizelle etc!

But even if my bank phones me, whicj albeit is a rare occurrance, they ask ME my details and password, I never give it, they phoned me after all.
