After Mat's request for the intercooler write up, i realised i never did add all the old write ups to the site, so i've started with the original write up on the car that started it all!

intercoolers? huh? WTF? huh? My bus has a mahoosive intercooler! Or, as Cummins call it, a charge air cooler..

Nearly 18 months on - are there any results/conclusions to your "explosive" rust removal technique aired on the front page?

Erm, well it worked rather well TBH, problem was it takes fooking ages (like a couple of days) just to get one head light adjuster thread clean. I'd say its a winner for thin or light metal work, but a bit of a waste of time if you can just hit it with a flap wheel/brush etc
I suspect a better piece of ferrous and more current would probably be of advantage.
