I have an intermittent ABS light on the red one - got rid of by turning the ignition off and on again. Sometimes months between coming on, other times every journey.

I also have one of those daft brake damper jobbies, unfortunately.

Fancy a trip up to maybe the Lake District sometime this summer with it for some decent driving roads and outdoorsy stuff?

excellente that man. You can get it finished at leisure now.

Have you still got some of that creme I gave you? I have one left, some of which I used on K39 to get it ready for sale.
Still amazed at the finish that stuff produces. Stops oxydisation too. 8)

With a [vomit] as well, just for the hell of it! Considering you've welded a whole new front panel in, I think you can be excused if the headlight alignment isn't 100%...

awesome shizzle!
Clonks can be bastards to find, my valver STILL has a clonk in it somewhere, although there is a tiny bit of play in the OS axial joint, so it could be that..

ABS, check the OSF sensor wiring, it's ALWAYS the OSF..

oh, and ALL Mk2 BX's had the stupid spring shit in the brake pedal.
Some are harder than others, it's an age thing..
Easy to cure though, but ABS cars are shit compared to non abs, that said, if the ABS went out of actin the brakes should have improved.. Did you bleed the electrovalve block?

The who what and the where? If you mean what garagists lovingly refer to as the 'ABS Pump' then no, i've never bled it, didn't know it could be bled, thought it was a simple pass through. Oh please tell me great wise one how i should do this?

Phil, the paint work is so fucked not even a super polishing expert from another forum could help me. Off to get a touch up pen later and see how bad i can make it!

some blocks have a bleed valve on the outside edge of the outlet ports, others dont, and it doesn't seem to be an age thing either. If they dont I usually crack off the joints on the bulkhead a bit, messy, but effective!

needs foot on the brake no? That was a twat enough when doing the O/S front, and impossible doing N/S front no matter how many bricks i stacked up on the pedal. Had to use a glamorous assistant in the end!

Now have a low coolant level relay again, took the old one of the car when doing the slam panel and in insides fell out, having totally rusted away!

I never use bricks to bleed the brakes, and I dont have a glamourous assistant, i use a jack handle between the pedal and seat!
