In reply to <a href="https://bxproject.co.uk/blog/car-show-fotu-2022-my-highlights/#comment-8137">Wesco Langlitz</a>.

Hi Wesco. In retrospect, I dont remember the 205 being built at Ryton, only really the 309 and 206. I've probably got confused with the 206. However, double checking and Peugeot Sport Club UK do list the 205 as having been assembled at Ryton. https://pscuk.net/peugeot-205/

As much as I love the 205, I'm not overly knowledgable about them, so thanks for pointing it out.

Really enjoyed reading your article on the BX adventure to the FOTU. Thankyou so much for featuring my 205 mardi gras. For me the FOTU is the best car event of the year, there are so many cars and friends from YouTube and social media. The only problem is its almost to big now for a one day show. Like you I am already looking forward to 2023.

C&T (Cock and Trumpet, you can see why the abbreviated it) garage I remember it well, it was the first place I took my old bangers (HB Viva's) for MOT. The place I went to was in Halebank, just up the road from Speke where I grew up, I can't remember why I chose that place, probably on recommendation, but they were a turn up and test kind of place and the waiting room was always pretty full. The last time I had any dealing with them was to buy a set of replacement driving lights and rear washwipe switch for my long departed GTi. I understand they have recently stopped trading.
