My automotive adventures started with a Citroen BX. Love them or loave them, I’m stuck with them. From the first car that would barely start to my current Citroen BX16Valve, I’ve learnt a lot about cars and mechanics. I’ve had to!
For many years the BX has been an untouchable project. Having little or no time to work on the car has meant that simple jobs have taken years to complete. But as time has become more available the car has stayed taxed and MOTd and could almost be considered a daily driver.
While it’s a well-known car in the weird circles that include the Citroen BX, its far from perfect, but its honest. Although its the highest performance of the engines available in the BX, its pretty slow by modern standards, but it’s noisy and revvy and very very childish. I somehow still love it, despite our ups and downs
