In reply to <a href="https://bxproject.co.uk/blog/review-autodoc/#comment-8242">Ed</a>.

Sorry to hear that Ed, I guess its more than four years since I wrote the article, and I haven't used Autodoc for a good while now. Often seems to be the way with companies that appear from nowhere, grow too big and become less interested in customer service. I've been using Febi recently, there range seems to have expanded considerably. I hope your order comes through one way on another.

nope - I've used them in the past but am very wary now...ordered an expensive EGR valve recently. Order has been stuck in 'processing' status for the last 5 days. I was offered the option to cancel the order, but am met with a 'not possible' pop-up. Live Chat doesn't connect. So am highly frustrated, waiting for a part that I have no idea when it might arrive, and I can't cancel, nor can I actually ask anyone about the order status. I won't be using them ever again.

As it happens just ordered some stuff for my Audi 100 last week and it's already arrived. I really can't fault them from my experience of ordering parts from them.
All the best.

Thanks for the information and feedback about Autodoc. I was unsure whether to order from them. I have been swayed by both the prices and the product range. I'm replacing the rear shock absorbers on my Seat Ibiza. The prices on Autodoc were way cheaper than GSF or Eurocarparts. Plus Autodoc have the dust covers and top mounts, whilst the others don't seem to have them. The whole lot is £77 with delivery. The tradeoff is the slow delivery, as the parts seem to be coming from Poland and in my case are taking around 10 days to arrive.

Love your post! Your journey with AutoDoc totally hits home for anyone dealing with the struggle of finding parts for older cars. It's awesome that AutoDoc proved the skeptics wrong with top-notch quality, service, and affordable prices. Your tips are like gold nuggets.
In reply to <a href="https://bxproject.co.uk/blog/review-autodoc/#comment-7126">Dave Downey</a>.

Thanks for the comments Dave. I've found it harder and harder to find small independent factors that could get anything. They're either bought out by the big names (GSF, ECP etc) or simply can't compete and die. The big names simply dont support cars more than 15 years old. Parts In Motion are a UK based online factor that dooes a good range in old parts. And quick.

I thought MoParts moved to that buisness park at the top of Brunswick street (by the hospital), the sort of place you can only really get to by car. Hardly ideal for a parts place. But having just looked for their location, they seem to have been bought out by LVW and moved Dingle direction. Bit of a shame as they where ideally located for cheap cars that needed cheap fixes!

I agree, except I haven't had a bad experience yet. Recently ordered Bilstein shocks and Eibach springs for a 2000 Golf 1.8t gti and they arrived in Liverpool within a few days, perfectly packaged and precisely as described on the website.
Branded, quality parts that are affordable and arrive in a perfectly reasonable timescale.
Unless you have a decent car spares place near you try Autodoc.
ps used to like going to Moparts on Smithdown, think they've moved to an industrial estate somewhere else in Liverpool now.
