Clock time

Post by jayw » 08 Feb 2010

Is it just me or did the website used to run on GMT?

If it was just me, can it be changed to GMT?

Lazy Mutha Fukka Time

I've noticed a pattern you see. If I'm expecting Doc (or anyone for that matter) I always ask what time (roughly) they'll be arriving. Most will say about 4 etc. But Doc will say "I just need to do some shit and some more shit and then I'll be leaving..."

No use to man nor sheep that bearded bald headed beast!

Is that "Do some shit" as in drugs, or 'crimping off a length'?

I've got a mate like that, if a group of us are meeting at say 10, I'll tell him 9 so there's a chance he'll be on time! Except I mentioned that to him once, so now I have to give him a time 2 hours before.

     No! It's not doing some drugs OR crimping off a length (or pinching a loaf!) but clearly knowing Doc it means...............

Re-roof the house
re-head the engine
re-turbo the horse
drive around Brizzle for 2000000 miles to find a small washer worth 12pence
fit a new bus to an old bus
service some fuckers car
MOT some other fuckers car..............and that's before he gets out of bed!

Probably right as well. But you forgot the bit about ranting for a good half an hour how things aren't what they used to be and that this country has got to pot...

Well, after 'Crimping Off a Length' (i love that, it's a new one on me), i have returned to explain my seemingly odd statement...

My view of the forum says All Times Are UTC (whatever the fuck UTC is), which according to the control panel includes GMT. However, i'm sat here now at 11:20pm reading Bandit's post above which was made at 11:52.

Ya dig me yet Bruvvas?

UTC is GMT for all those peoples elsewhere that don't like to acknowledge that Greenwich/UK had a monopoly on the zero meridian! :P

So UTC-5 hours is the same as GMT-5 hours etc. [coat]

I do dig, and it was beginning to to feel like a glitch in some sort of matrix related digital dilemma!

Glad it's sorted now though, Keanu can stand down!

If its such a big deal then perhaps at some point i'll change it from UTC to GMT, not that it makes much difference.
