Erm, I think Mannie has a 6.75 flarer, although I know I dont have any pipe in that size right now..
I'll ask Mannie, if he has a flarer I'll get some pipe and fire one out.

As Vanny said, I get a letter from DVLA informing me that the SORN notice was successful on the bus, only, when I opened said letter it was smeared in "stuff" that looked like dried blood.
So I took it off down to my good friends in Haemotology and got them to test it, all CSI stylee, and sure enough, it is blood.
Never before recieved a letter from DVLA covered in blood, so this was a first!

I was more concerned about just what the hell happened in the office to cause such a thing to happen!

I had images of some Welsh bird bleeding to death over an office table in s***h Wales clutching at letters...

Mannie doesn't have a 6.75mm flarer either sadly mate, so I'm a bit stumped at the mo.

Further to this....................

Its actually 6.35mm pipe. not as in title.

Anyway, my temporary longer pipe also fractured, my fault for bending a bit too tightly i think. Checked the regulator and pump were secure, they are, so not movement causing.

Phoned several people, Chap at pleides said he hadnt got any 6.35mm pipe, and it was so expensive these days for a roll of several meters when each car only uses a few inches of that size. So he couldnt help. but if i wanted to phone back in a day or two he might have thought about getting some by then.
Helpful but not helpful that then, funny when the countries best known cit hydraulic specialist basically says it not worth the cost of him keeping rolls of pipe in stock. He was nice, friendly and helpful, no complaints there at all. But why wouldnt they as specialists not have any 6.35mm pipe. It bemuses me. Anyway.....

I thought about just buying the tools and stuff, i mean why not. 15 years of hydraulic cits, wouldnt hurt to have the tools. 110 plus vat for the flaring tool, 65 + vat for the 6.35mm citroen die. Basically to do job myself, i would have spent about 240 quid. I may still buy the tools when im a bit more flush, just beacuse its sorted then.

So im riding me motorbike until the new pipe arrives.

I phoned chevronics, they were very helpful, took all details, said pipe was actually still available from citroen, phoned me back and said they could have it for tuesday. At about 11 quid all in. So i told them to order it.

Plaidies have been shit for ages now.
Sorry I couldn't help mate.
I may well invest in a proper bench mount flaring kit regardless since it's handy.
But I've had trouble getting 3.5 and 4.5 kunifer pipe of late, and stainless unions only seem to be available from plaidies, who, guess what, dont have any, and dont know when they will again....

I have about 200 M8 unions laying about somewhere. All 3.5 though I think.
