What has been seen, can not be unseen.....
Slightly better sleep today managed (with pi55 breaks) nearly 6 hours. Hopefully wont have quite such a dramatic night as last night where I had to clean up the blood bath in the house of horrors.

Your not kidding there mateWhat has been seen, can not be unseen....
Nights takes around 4 weeks to get your clock to change. After that you can get your 8 hrs in no trouble, provided it's dark (thick curtains) and you don't have noisy neighbours.
I had noisy neighbours once, when I lived in Bolton

Much better to nick them, get them sent to the block for a couple of days, where they will learn the error of their ways

Re: The "Im On Nights" Thread
Arr - it be working fine again now.
Dilemma time
I has seen (localish) a 75K mile VTS Xsara 2.0 Pezza 16v for £1500 and for about the same price a 50k VTR Xsara 1.8 (or 1.6 I forget which) pezza 16v.
Both I expect will be rapid after the Micra. Really I should save my pennies and get the patio done, but slobolokc I really want something more exciting than that filpping Micra. Im toying with the idea of popping off to see them next week.
Either that or look for a HDi, as every one of thoise I have owned has been a pleasant enough driving experience

Re: The "Im On Nights" Thread
It be plenty rapid. But then the HDI is such a smooth drive (and a lot more economical)
Road tax is only £125 on the D as well.

Re: The "Im On Nights" Thread
True - a Xsara HDi would be ample I think, plus they can be chip chooned to give a few more ponies at the flywheel for not a lot of pennies. I had to back off the choon on the Xantia as if I gave it some welly I got clutch slip!

Re: The "Im On Nights" Thread
I think some of the last ones had the 1.6 unit in them. It's a 16V unit with 110 horses.
Not sure if it has I/C, but it would be easy enuff to fit one and no chips.

Re: The "Im On Nights" Thread
Second to last night.
Nearly there!
I doubt if I will be able to afford anything newer than a 2002/03 so its going to be the 2.0HDi, but TBH Im quite happy with that as they are lazy and not stressed (untill you force a bit more pressure from the fuel pump I suppose).
Saturday night is take away night at the Mini Break ctr, and tonight we are having CURRREAH!
I shall be having Mixed kebab, Chicken Tikka Masala, Rice, that funny spicy potato soup stuff and some popadoms and a kema naan.
Sadly beer to wash it down with will not be on the menu, so I have bought some Diet Cola.
I'll have a word with that chap who wrote the history of the Bond Minicar Works about the parafin engines / 4 stoker and see what he can recall. It might well be that Im getting addled and it was another car that had the parafin switchover, but Im sure it was one of the Bonds and Im sure it was the van - I seem to recall him saying it couldnt switch over untill it was fully hot.
