Billy Bailey is truly brilliant. I've seen him twice now. The funniest thing was when he tried to get 'evil' started! (It was a homage to Dr Who - very funny but you had to be there!)
....There he goes, one of God's own prototypes, a high powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production......too weird too live.....and too rare to die

Re: ECU's
You sure about that? I've watched pretty much all of the Live at the Apollo shows and never seen him on.
In fact checking out his entire works;
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0047155/
I can't see him ever having been on the Apollo

Another guy I saw live who did a great stand up show was that Actor from Brookside who played Ron Dixon (Vince Earl).
He actually was another one who did "The Comedians" and was one of the original Merseyside rockers!

Re: ECU's
A bit of revisionism is called for here by the running lackeys of Anglia as one of Bill Bailey's fine DVDs (can't remember which offhand) was recorded at a performance in the Grand Theatre, Swansea.
My daughter and a friend met him when he was doing his Tinselworm show in London (which they saw), and found him very approachable. She's no celebrity-harrier - and is about as full of celebrity worship as Attila the hun was full of the milk of human kindness.

He might have to come home through time, as I've just realised I was watching him on Dave
so the programmes could be years old

Re: ECU's
I could be perceived as taking sides here but isn't Live At The Apollo aimed at 'up & coming' comedians introduced by a veteran one?
