Before I took up driving, my transport options where a Citroen or a pushbike. Once I passed my test my options didn’t improve much. A ‘best-for-scrap’ Citroen BX or a pushbike. I’ve still got the pushbike and a Citroen BX . . .
Most recent Citroen Adventures
- Citroën BX – XPO – Pastures New – Eps50After nearly four years, XPO is off to pastures new. But not before a lap around a motor racing circuit and a near ‘thermal event’.
- Citroën BX – XPO – The Finishing Line – Eps49Nearly four years into the XPO project, the finishing line is in sight. The BX is almost ready for MOT until a last-minute disaster strikes!
- Citroën BX – XPO – Bodywork Revival – Eps48After many years of work and with mechanical and hydraulic issues solved, it was time for bodywork revival!
- Citroën BX – XPO – Wheel Alignment – Eps47Steering rack changed, and hydraulic leaks resolved, I finally had forward motion. But bad wheel alignment was stopping reversing movement!
- Citroën BX – XPO – Hydraulic Octopus – Eps46While the steering rack change didn’t stop the hydraulic leaks, a new hydraulic octopus (leak back harness) should stop the fluid loss.
The BXProject Forum – Retired
My publishing of stories and adventures began with the BXProject website, and at its peak, it hosted a thriving forum.

The forum was mothballed in 2018 when the popularity of Facebook drove nearly all users away. The PHPBB3-based forum remained as an archive of useful information and was regularly accessed. In March 2025, the decision was made to discontinue software maintenance and shut down the forum.
If you really need something from the archive, then it can be reached through the ‘way back when’ machine;
