A few weeks ago, I made the journey to Kelsall Steam Rally 2024. When, an electrical issue got out of control and I nearly didnt make it!
To get the tractor to the Kellsall Steam Rally, I wanted to take the loader off, which meant making my own loader legs.
Since buying the 7610 back in September, I’ve been looking forward to the Kelsall Steam Rally 2023. This year I’m driving there!
The Trima 1420 loader now adorning the Ford 7610 isn’t much use without implements. First up is a tractor bucket.
Using the spool valves and joystick to control the loader was becoming a faff. What I need is a free flow return.
With the tractor now serviced, it could be pressed into service. To move materials around, I set about fitting a loader.
After the first wobbly drive, the 7610 is sent of for a minor service that turns major. Several thousand pounds later and it drives lovely!
With the wiring complete, tax and insurance in place, it was finally time for me to take the Ford 7610 on its first drive. What could possibly go wrong?
Before I can take the Ford 7610 for a drive, I really need to get the electrics working. The first job was wiring up the lights.
